KK TRIP 2017

Kota Kinabalu, Sabah Trip.

This had archived one of my university life goal - travelling with group of good friends.

We did discuss this trip during our internship and at last we decided to go to KK.

FLIGHT TICKET || AIR ASIA

That time, Air Asia was having a 20% promotion for the mobile app users.

MYY - BKI  (Roundtrip) RM128 excluded luggage


ACCOMMODATION BOOKING || BOOKING.COM

First of all, plan and some research are required.

I did use GOOGLE to search interesting places in KK and Booking.com for searching cheap accommodation in this trip.

Booking.com is a website that can search cheap accommodation in everywhere.

You can make change or cancel the booking anytime before the booking date.

You also can see the reviews and the prices. 


⇝ DAY 1 || KK CITY

3:45pm reached KK city. 

Accomodation 1 : Peter Marina Court Condominium 

RM 280 per night. 7 guests. 3 bedrooms. Free Wi-Fi. 


For KK city accomodation, I would recommend Marina Court Condominium in KK city because the location is great. 

15 minute from KK International Airport
10 minute to Jesselton point by car
10 minute walk to Warisan square
5 minute to Gaya Street by car.

⇝ DAY 2 || KUNDASANG

Breakfast : Foo Phing Dim Sum 富平点心楼

Opening hours: 7am - 2pm

This is definitely a must try in KK city. A popular & excellent dim sum for locals.

So it's better to reach there earlier.

For me everything is nice, so i have no any recommended dish. HAHAHA



After having breakfast, we went to Kundasang. We rented driver and car for Kundasang Trip as the road is quite winding.

At first, we stopped at Nabalu Market where can see the Mount Kinabalau and took photo.

Yes. The fishes are big.... REALLY BIG... and ITCHY.

Big fishes will suck around your toes and ankles. 



SABAH Tea


You can take photo at "I LOVE SABAH TEA" here.


This is Teh Tarik Pandan. 

It sounds interesting so i ordered this. Quite nice.

Then we had lunch at the restaurant nearby and I spotted this.


Durian Icecream. RM2.50. 

Its really nice!!! Definitely a must try for durian lover.

Accommodation 2 : T-Paradise.



T-Paradise

RM570 per night.

Maximum 13 guest.

No Wi-Fi.

3 Bedrooms Chalet.

BBQ available for rental. Free Parking. DVD/CD player available.

So yeah, if you want to live here, you have to prepare some food or you can do BBQ.

Well for us, we only brought some maggie mee and drinks for supper. HAHAHA

After we settled down all the things, we walked to J-Residence to have dinner.

On the way to J-residence, you can see the Mount Kinabalu.


And i found out that J-Residence had a good spot for taking OOTD.

After that we walked back to T-Paradise.

At night, we watched movie by using DVD player and cooked maggie mee for supper.


The kitchen utensils are available there so you can cook anything you want. 


Having hot maggie under chilling weather. This is just so GOOD.

The temperature is around 16. It's cool. No air-con is needed.







We had some drinks and chit chat all the night. Its nice.

⇝ DAY 3 || KUNDASANG

We checked out and took group photo by using Tripod-Stand before we left.


 We will miss this place very much.

Overall the stay experience is awesome.


DESA FAIRY FARM.

Opening Hours: 8am - 5pm

Entrance Fee: RM5 (Adult)
                       RM3 (Child)


When you come here, you can see a lot of cows and heavy smell of cows' shit. 

And here can be an OOTD spot too.

Feed these cute calf and goat with bottled milk.

And the desa gelato is a must to try here. 




Yogurt Vanilla Flavor and Chocolate Flavor.

After that, we went to hanging bridge. The hanging bridge is crossing Sungai Mamut. 


This hanging bridge is very long and its a nice experience.

After that, we found a waterfall and had a rest there.

The water is cool and this place is beautiful. 


You can get a free foot massage here by small fishes. Its ITCHY too.


PORING HOT SPRING

You can come here to destress and soak away the ashes of muscles. Well, we only soaked our legs here cause we were lazy to change clothes. HAHAHA.



Before we left.

On the way back to KK city, the driver stopped at SINALAU BAKAS.

Meat and soup.

The taste is REALLY REALLY GOOD. 

If you are pork lover, this is definitely a must try!!!!!



Then we went back to KK city.

Accommodation 3: Jack Marina Court Condominium

RM350 for 2 nights. 7 guests. Free Wi-Fi. 


HILLTOP KEDAI KOPI NEW MUI VUI 永建成茶室

The fried dumpling is a must try in this cafe. It's popular in KK.

The fried dumpling is really nice. Its crispy, juicy and delicious. Must try.


Kedai KOPI JIA SIANG 家乡生肉面


Pork Noodle is a must in Sabah. There has dry type or soup type. 

You can add extra pork meat ball if you want. The pork and vege will blend with soup. It taste nice.



⇝ DAY 4 || MANUKAN ISLAND

KEDAI RESTORAN KUO MAN 国民餐厅

I would recommend you guys come to this shop to have breakfast like locals.


For the food, the fish paste is very popular here. They called it as 鱼滑. The beef noodle and roasted pork are also very very nice. 

For drinks, you can order chrysanthemum tea. Its freshly cooked and taste nice.

After having nice breakfast, we went to Jesselton Point and heading to Manukan Island.

And yeah, when we reached the Island, start to find the OOTD spot. HAHAHA


Take OOTD at Island is a must !!! 

****Remember to apply some sunscreen. If not, you will get sunburn. 

There has a lot of water activities in this island such as BANANA BOAT, PARASAILING, SNORKELING, SEA WALKING, DIVING and so on.

For me, i would like to try Parasailing and snorkeling.

So i tried parasailing first.


Parasailing. 10 minutes. RM90 (normal price but you can cut price there)

You can ask them to let you fly up and down. Its fun.

So we played around 10 minutes to 15 minutes.


 Yes. This is FUN and AWESOME. 

After parasailing, i went to snorkeling. 

Snorkeling. No time limit. You just rent the things. Its fun.

 After that around 3:30pm, we left the island and back to KK city.

We had a rest at our accommodation and had dinner.


WELCOME SEAFOOD RESTAURANT 大茄来海鲜餐厅

The famous seafood restaurant in KK. Always crowded and full of people. 


Everything is delicious here. Seafood is a must in Sabah. 

The seafood here is fresh, delicous, juicy and reasonable price. 


WOO CAFE


Both of the coffee are nice and that is lemon cheese tart. Its incredibly nice.

SHARMOCK IRISH BAR WATERFRONT.

Its near to Marina Court Condominium.

Its a nice place to chill with sea breeze.

This place is also crowded and the best place for drinker.

We came here to chill and celebrate birthday.


Happy birthday to these two! All the best in future and friendship forever.
